The last weeks in July was very hot and it speeded up the ripening of our grapes and especially our Pinot Noir ripened quick and was ready for harvest already on 3rd of August – the first grape variety to harvest this year.

We started early Monday morning, and the weather and temperature was perfect for harvesting - cloudy and the temperature has dropped more than 6 degrees from the previous weeks.

We did not harvest Pinot Noir last year, so this was a new experience for us. Due to the early harvest not all of the grape cluster were fully ripe so we had to do a selectively harvest making sure only to harvest the good clusters and grapes.

The good clusters

and the bad once.
